Scott Hed, IL Nicaragua Correspondent, is a native of the North Central area of the U.S. Scott figured nearly 50 winters in Minnesota and South Dakota were enough for him and thankfully, his wife, Nicki, agreed, and they moved to Nicaragua in 2016 after visiting numerous times since 2011. They built their dream home on the outskirts of the colonial city of Granada where they live with their two Labrador retrievers. Together they enjoy visiting different places around Nicaragua, and have explored destinations in Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.
